Cam Rogers

Founder & Principal  - LLB, GDLP

Cam is Australia’s preeminent video game industry lawyer.  For over 20 years Cam’s practice has encompassed a variety of areas of law in all areas of entertainment, both as in house counsel and in private practice. In 2012 he founded CRL to advise clients in the the digital entertainment industries.

He has acted for video game developers, publishers, software developers,  Film/TV producers,  talent and other creative businesses, in all forms across Australia & NZ. Cam prides himself in delivering timely, commercially-minded and outcome focused advice.

Jason Qian

Senior Lawyer - BCom, LLB, GDLP

Jason brings a decade of regulatory, advisory and transactional experience in an entertainment and technology context to the table, having been the second in-house lawyer at TikTok and ByteDance in Australia where he worked from 2021-2026. There, he advised on product, regulatory and commercial matters, in particular working extensively within the Australian creator ecosystem and digital platform context.

 

Prior to his experience at TikTok, Jason worked at entertainment law boutique law firms (specialising in creative agencies and music) and the Intellectual Property team at Ashurst (now Ashurst Perkins Coie).

Andrea Alford

Associate - BA, LLB, GDLP, MIPL, TTIPA

Andrea is an experienced intellectual property lawyer, having previously practised as a litigator in the intellectual property and media team at one of New Zealand's largest corporate law firms. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Master of Intellectual Property Law, specialising in brand protection.

 

Across both Australia and New Zealand, Andrea enjoys advising independent creatives, government departments and large-scale corporations, on protecting and commercialising the assets at the core of their practices. Andrea is a registered trans-Tasman trade mark attorney as well as a board member of Freeplay, the world's longest running independent games organization.
